“Calling games are like snowflakes,” said Don Marchand, “No two games are the same.”

Marchand has been in the radio industry for 27 years. Working for Learfield Sports he is the play-by-play caller for all Nevada women’s basketball and baseball games and fills in on occassion to cover Nevada football and Men’s basketball.

Marchand appreciates the time he has spent traveling with teams as a play-by-play caller.

“Oddly enough the travel,” said Marchand, discussing his favorite part about his job.

“Getting to see a lot of this country. I wouldn’t have seen this much of the country without this job,” said Marchand.
